Yamaga (山鹿市, Yamaga-shi?) is a city located in Kumamoto, Japan.
On January 15, 2005, the city merged with the towns of Kahoku, Kamoto, Kao and Kikuka from Kamoto District into the new expanded city of Yamaga. As of this merger but with 2003 population estimates, the city has an estimated population of 58,678 and a density of 196 persons per km². The total area is 299.67 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1954.
